Hamilton in London

London

After Brooke and I (plus our families!) returned from Disneyland Paris, it was time to spend a few days in London. We got back late in the evening on the Eurostar and slept in the next morning, but by that evening, we were ready for more adventures! First on our agenda was going to see the legendary musical, Hamilton. Brooke had already seen Hamilton several times, but this would be my first time! I was so excited.

While I was staying with at my aunt's house with my family, Brooke stayed near Victoria Station. We met for dinner before the performance and then walked over to the theatre together.  Just across from the Victoria Palace Theatre, there's a clock called Little Ben. Isn't Little Ben cute? It's a nice little clock tower that serves as an excellent location to meet people!

Hamilton would be my first musical performance that I'd ever attended in London! Brooke and I lined up eagerly with the other fans. We loved the artwork decorating the wall.  It was really fun to pose near.

Before long, we were inside the theatre! We braved the lines to get lemonades (which were more like a Sprite) and made our way to our seats.  Our families sat in the stalls, which is the orchestra section.  Soon the curtain rose and we were transported to New York City during the American Revolution!

I won't give away any details, but it was so cool to see.  I hope someday I can see it again, but for now I have been happy listening to the music on my iPod and remembering what it was like to watch Hamilton in front of me at the Victoria Palace Theatre!

When I went to Alexander Hamilton's home in New York, Hamilton Grange, back in 2013- I had no idea that the musical would burst onto the scene and that I'd actually get to see it myself!

Have you ever been to a musical? What did you see? Did you have fun?
