Sunset on Playa Pelada
Thursday, December 25, 2014
Today is Christmas Day! My family celebrates New Year instead, so it can be hard to be patient while so many people post pictures of their holiday gifts for Hanukkah and Christmas. However, the trip to Costa Rica was an amazing family present, so when I am feeling impatient, I remembers days like the one in the photo above. Since our little hotel was so close to Playa Pelada, we could walk down to the beach and watch the sunset every night!
It seems so strange that last week, I was in sunny, warm Costa Rica- and now I'm in the chilly north! I'm looking forward to celebrating New Year with my family. Does your family celebrate a winter holiday? Did you you receive gifts? What did you receive?
In this entry I'm wearing: swimsuit from American Girl.

You always get to visit the best places, Inky! I would trade a million presents to be able to travel as much as you. Costa Rica looks so gorgeous; I absolutely adore walking on the beach at sunset. It's definitely one of my favorite things to do.
ReplyDeleteAs for Christmas, I usually open presents super early - just after midnight on Christmas morning! I was a little different this year and opened my presents later in the day because my grandparents wanted us to go to church first.
Sophie
Hi Sophie! Costa Rica was really wonderful. I hope I get to go back someday!

ReplyDeleteWow, how much fun does Costa Rica look from here! That's amazing.
As far as Giftmas (as we call it here) goes, my Big Person got me an iPad and permission to start my blog! Everyone in our gang got tech of some kind, and then we also got two more - and my Big Person swears on a stack of Flying Spaghetti Monster pamphlets that they are the last two - members of our little crew!
Thank you for reading Zoë!! Wow, how cool that you got an iPad! My friend Coral has one, but I'm not allowed yet. I'm looking forward to seeing you post on your blog! You'll have to comment and let me know when you make your first post!

Salut, Inky!
ReplyDeleteI got some fun stuff like clothes, but I am also tagging along with Aurelie and her family. We're going to visit some of her family next Monday. I can't wait!
Costa Rica looks gorgeous! I'd love to visit someday and practice my Spanish.
Bisous,
Sabine
Privyet Sabine!
DeleteYou would have been really helpful in Costa Rica as neither I nor my parents speak much Spanish! I hope you had fun with Aurélie.
Love,
Inky
