Hi everyone! Today I'm going to do something a little different. I want to share some awesome sweaters with you! The sweaters are from By Altadena and are really beautiful. If you're interested in having the designer make you a sweater of your own, check out her shop at www.etsy.com/shop/byaltadena!
First we have this navy blue cardigan modeled by Cobie. It's cozy and warm and perfect for a fall day at school. In fact, it fits right in with Cobie's school uniform!
Next we have Miko modeling the Marinière sweater in pink. It's very chic with little white buttons at the shoulder and five white stripes. The sweater is very easy to put on as it closes up the back with velcro.
Here's Iris modeling a cowl sweater in purple. This sweater also closes up the back, making it easy for small hands to put on. It's beautifully stitched and would be a welcome addition to any fall wardrobe.
Finally we have a special favorite- Coral is modeling the Flashdance sweater! This off-the-shoulder sweater is very on trend and is comfy and cozy to boot! In addition to looking great with every day outfits, it also looks great as a ballet warm up.
Here you can see the Flashdance sweater worn with dance clothing- it's great to keep warm before beginning at the barre!
By Altadena makes wonderful ballet sweaters- not just the Flashdance one, but this warm-up wrap as well! Katya loves hers and wears it before every class.
In short, By Altadena's sweaters make beautiful keepsakes for your collection. She sells patterns on Ravelry under the screenname altadena as well as at her etsy shop, By Altadena. She also has a really fun blog about doll clothes in French at Dis maman... habille ma poupée. Make sure to check her out- you won't be disappointed!

Salut Inky,
ReplyDeleteI love sweaters; they are some of my favorite things to wear. I love your friends' sweaters. My friend Liz loves the Flashdance sweater because Flashdance is one of her favorite movies (she loves the '80s).
I'm also enjoying reading Altadena's blog. ;)
Bisous,
Sabine
Hello Hello Sabine!
DeleteAren't sweaters great? It's a little funny to write about them now, in the heat of summer. ;) My mom tells me the 80s were very fun, but she was a kid so she doesn't remember them very well. I'm glad you like Altadena's blog- I thought you might!
Love,
Inky

And Cobie's shoes too!
DeleteHi Madison!
DeleteCobie and Coral's shoes are Janes, you can get them at shoplibertyjane.com. The shorts were made out of a pair of my own pants by a friend. :)
Hope that helps!
I like the navy blue sweater is sooooooooooooo cute!!!
ReplyDeleteAltadena's sweaters are so lovely. I hope she got many new visitors and fans from people who saw this post - she deserves it! I think you also did (as always) a fantastic job with the photo styling, your adorable props in the background (of Coral modeling the Flashdance sweater), each girl's hair and putting the outfits together to go with the sweaters. Your posts are always so much fun to look at and read. =)
