Late Afternoon at Snowbird

Inky @ Snowbird!

Where do you think I went my second day in Utah? At the recommendation of many friends, I went with my Mama and our friends to Snowbird! Snowbird is a resort in Little Cottonwood Canyon near Salt Lake City.  I was so, so excited to go because we got to ride the tram up the mountain! In this photo, you can see the resort behind me as we climbed higher and higher.

The tram operator let me climb up on the ledge to look down as we rode higher up the mountain. It was so cool! I could see the Alpine Slide and Alpine Rollercoaster as we soared up the mountain.

When we reached the top, we saw that there was a lot of construction happening! They are building a restaurant at the top of the tramway.  I had some time to walk around before taking the tram back down to the resort.  It was so beautiful! I love the beach back at home, but I think I'm a mountain girl at heart.

The mountains are so beautiful! I'm so glad I got the chance to come back to Utah. I have visited many times, but it had been a few years since I had the opportunity to visit.   It was wonderful to be so high up!

Before long, it was time to go back down to the resort on the tram.  We had a delicious Mexican meal at the resort.  I had a quesadilla and root beer. Yum! I had a great day.  I had been on a little funicular in Ukraine several years ago, but nothing like this awesome tram!

Have you ever ridden a tram? Was it fun? Or were you scared?

In this post I'm wearing: shirt by Sparrow & Wren Mercantile, pants and boots by American Girl.

  1. Looks like lots of fun, Inky! I went to Utah this summer too, and it was great! I have also been on a tram, but I think I was in Colorado at the time. Or maybe Wyoming. I can't remember. Anyways, it was very scary because it was super rickety and so high up!

  2. What a view, Inky! I think I love the mountains best, too, even when my ears "pop" because of the high elevation. I don't think I've been on a tram before, though.

  5. Your trip is amazing. I love the outfit you're wearing this day. Did you get to ride the Alpine Slide while you were there? I hear they are loads of fun.
