I'm home!

I'm finally back in New York City! I went on a road trip out to Wisconsin and back. It was lots of fun, but I'm glad to be home- except that it's so, so hot and humid in the city right new. Ew!

I got to do a lot of things on my trip. Some of my favorites were:

Visiting John Glenn's childhood home. He was America's first astronaut.

Hanging out at my friend Maia's house in Ohio! We hadn't seen each other since last July, so we had a lot to catch up on.

Seeing the movie Kung Fu Panda. I liked the tiger the best. I started to get really excited about pandas after we watched the movie, especially when I realized that Jen had never seen a panda!

Going to the National Zoo in Washington DC! I got to see THREE pandas and play in a bamboo forest. Actually, if you count the red pandas, I saw five. The red pandas are really cute. I've decided that the next time I get to see Violet, we'll go exploring and see if we can find one in the wild!

Now and I'm home- and I'm really glad Iris made me clean my room before I left on my trip. I really didn't want to tidy then, because I was so excited, but it was really nice to come home to a clean room.!
