Pumpkin Carving!

One.

Marisol & I were playing baseball on the Wii.

Two.

"How come the outfielders don't have legs?"

"Probably for the same reason that both teams have the same uniform!"

Three.

"Inky, it's your turn to bat! Let's see if you can actually *hit* the ball this time!"

Four.

"I'm up to bat! Check out my awesome pants!"

Five.

"Home Run!!!!! Score!!! I am the best ever!!!"

Six.

"Nice job Inkers, you did a great job actually hitting the ball! I'm stunned you actually got a home run!"

"Clearly, I am the best ever at baseball!"

"Um, I'm not sure about that. I beat you 11 to 1. They had to invoke the Mercy Rule! Do you want to play again?"

"I'd love to, but I promised Iris that I'd carve our pumpkin. I see her over there! See you next week!"

Seven.

"Inkeeeeee! Get your rear down here! This pumpkin weighs more than I do!"

Eight.

"Leaping Lenins! That thing really is huge! How are you going to get it all the way to the kitchen?"

Nine.

"You may not have noticed this before, but a key feature of the red wagon is wheels. Duh."

Ten.

"Okay, here we are with the pumpkin. We're still making a kitty head, right?"

"Right. Lenin's head was a little too tough for us, sorry."

"Maybe next year?"

"If you carve it yourself."

Eleven.

"You have to cut the top off first. It makes it much, much easier to get the guts out."

Twelve.

"Do you have to talk about that? Oooh, this is an awesome tradition. It looks like brains in there! Gross!"

Thirteen.

"Mmmm, guts! Mmm, brainies!"

Fourteen.

"We have to save the brainies, so that I can make you a guts pie later. Are you ready for me to start carving?"

"Carve away!"

Fifteen.

"The whiskers are the hardest part."

Sixteen.

"Dude, but the nose tip is the best! Make sure you get the kitty boogers in the guts bowl!"

Seventeen.

"All done! Here's the tea light!"

Eighteen.

"Never mind! *This* is totally the best part yet!"

Nineteen.

"It's lit!!! Happy Halloween Inky!!"

"Turn off the lights! I want to see the floating kitty head!"

Twenty.

"Awesome!"

Twenty-one.

"Tonight, we go to sleep by pumpkin-light. Happy Halloween!"

    1. I got them from Nintendo World in NYC, but that was six years ago, so they may no longer sell them.
